Have you ever picked up a Bible you haven’t used in a while and found something you didn’t expect?
No, I’m not talking about cash or other things you might stash in your Bible… I’m talking about Scriptural surprises.
That happened to me just the other day. I picked up a Bible from my shelf that I hadn’t used in a long time, and found sticky notes all throughout 2 Corinthians. I don’t remember putting them there at all. No idea of the circumstances or situation, no idea when they were added… they’re just there. All I recall is placing the sticky notes in that Bible at one point, when I was doing a Bible in a year plan and was marking spots. But the sticky notes were clearly NOT in the locations I remember them being.
So this comes as a pleasant Scripture surprise.
The verses are all meaningful.
All relevant.
All referencing things I need to be thinking over.
It’s almost like God Himself placed them there waiting for me to open up that old Bible and find them. And at just the right time.
