As you all know, I REALLY enjoy fishing. Here’s yet another couple of reasons why…
I landed these today, the first on a silver and blue crankbait, the second on a white and red buzzbait.
Wish I would have had a scale handy for these! I’m estimating the first was 5 1/2 or 6 pounds. The second was slightly larger.
Being 5 hours behind y’all right now I assumed I would be the first to comment. 🙂 John, you told me you caught a 7 pounder, but I wondered if it was a fisherman’s “account.” That is incredible!!! I’ll be praying that you will do nothing to quench the spirit and will speak God’s word faithfully tomorrow! If you are that good of a fisher, perhaps, like Peter, you will be catching men soon.
Now see, John says he’s my good friend but he’s never taken me fishing yet! C’mon John, where’s the love!
Seriously though, congratulations. I’m amazed the fish didn’t eat Jeffrey. Those are huge!
1st Micah with a treo and now the big fish I’m jealous!
Bryan… thanks for the prayers, man. I appreciate your kind words and prayerful intervention! Things went great! Not sure how well the message was received, but that’s in God’s hands now. Our job isn’t to fill the nets, of course, just to cast them.
Micah… I told you yesterday that I actually thought about seeing if you, Tracy, and the girls wanted to go. We’ll coordinate a weekend that works for everyone and make a day of it. Of course, Jeffrey and Grace and a pond does sound like a recipe for disaster… 🙂
Kevin… Next time you’re in the area, give me a shout. I’ll be happy to take you and your family to do some fishing. No guarantees about catching a big one, of course, but I’ve got a good spot to try!
