Stress…

Stress? I’ve usually got some. After today? That “some” has multiplied. Exponentially, it seems.

I sure could use a bit of the peace Scripture references, couldn’t you?

Philippians 4:6-7
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Here’s praying that God will provide some of that transcendent peace to all of us dealing with stress running through our lives right now.

Thanks man, I appreciate the prayers!

I’ve had the goatee since November, just finally got an updated photo up a couple weeks back. Sometimes I’m pretty slow updating stuff like that.

I came to realize not too long ago that stressed was always caused by a lack of spiritual perspective. I learned to keep the following in mind:

    1) God is STILL in charge
    2) God knows my limitations and weaknesses better than I do
    3) In spite of those God still chooses to use me
    4) God can use a donkey to speak truth, he can do whatever he wants with me.

… and the real kicker is that in spite of knowing all of that I get stressed and worried when I feel that somehow I am ‘responsible’ for the outcome. Oops~!

Hope my experiences and observations can be a blessing to you.

    Thanks for sharing, Jeff.

The good news is that the stresses that work brought on Monday have pretty well passed (God has been good in that!), and I’m really starting to be able to focus on the weekend ahead… the annual men’s fishing retreat, now less than 36 hours away… 🙂
